IMT

Integrated Manufacturing Technologies

integrating people with technology

The Company

IMT was founded in 1988 as Cam Professionals, Inc. to provide sales, support and training for Computer Aided Machining in the Southwestern area.

Formed by the owners of a local job shop after experiencing lack of practical application support for expensive CAM systems.

Among products sold and serviced were CadKey (Drafting and Modeling), SmartCAM CNC Process Modeling, CAMAND products (by CAMAX) and GibbsCAM Manufacturing products.

IMT successfully sold and supported 400 plus seats of manufacturing software packages.

IMT built hardware for and supported UNIX, DOS and MAC operating systems.

IMT was one of the first companies to build and support multi-processor, multi-tasking PCs using early releases of the Microsoft Windows® NT Operating System.

In 1997 the company was re-formed as Integrated Manufacturing Technologies. This was coincidental with ending of the CAMAX family of products (consisting of both SmartCAM and CAMAND) At this time Gibbs and Associates enhanced their Virtual line with the addition of a solid modeling and machining product. GibbsCAM products are the main focus of IMT's involvement in improvement of manufacturing efficiency in the local manufacturing community. IMT (as CAM Professionals, Inc.) implemented SmartCAM as a teaching tool for manufacturing technology in Mesa Community College, Pima Community College (Tucson) and Yavapai Community College (Prescott). IMT is now an industrial resource for manufacturing technology in the Maricopa Community College system. Our products and support are currently in use at Gateway Community College in Phoenix Arizona.

IMT relies heavily on a good working relationship with both machine tool dealers and design software resellers to provide its customers with smooth integration between people, software and machine tools.
